The OSS HX-QD 7.62 is built with patented Flow-Through technology, it delivers 136-139 dB performance, is full-auto rated up to 5.56, and is cross-platform compatible up to .300 WM.

A strong and versatile suppressor, the HX-QD 762’s features were heavily influenced by the U.S. Army CSASS requirements. The HX-QD 7.62mm will fit a wide range of calibers and host rifles thanks to its unrestricted baffle design. As with all of the Helix and FLOW style suppressors, the patented Flow-Through® technology of this silencer redirects the expanding gasses in a helical pattern, allowing the intense heat to expand and cool as it moves through the silencer body. This unique design also means that the expanding gas generates torque on the silencer and tightens it onto the mount, ensuring it doesn’t come loose while shooting. As the gas moves through the combination of Grade 5 titanium coils and 17-4 stainless steel deflectors, it creates a gas-free shooting experience.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

The HX-QD’s are built with a full-auto rating and easily pass the USSOCOM reliability stress test – these cans are built with durability in mind. The proven Flow-Through® tech was designed to not increase pressure levels (or blowback) like a traditional baffle stack might. This HUXWRX can is tested to impact bolt velocity of less than 5% over a baseline. Muzzle rise and recoil are more easily managed as well as not affecting weapon malfunctions. This durable suppressor is a heavy-weight champion in a lightweight class, tipping the scales at a mere 19.4 oz. Its full-auto rating is not just a badge of honor; it's a promise of durability and reliability under the most demanding conditions.

Customer Questions
What is the best budget 30 cal suppressor for shooters on a tight budget?
The YHM Resonator R2 and Otter Creek Labs Polonium 30 are popular budget-friendly options. They offer reliable performance and effective sound suppression at a lower price point, making them suitable choices for shooters mindful of cost without sacrificing quality
What is the quietest 223 suppressor currently available, and is it suitable for an AR-15?
The quietest 223 suppressors include the CAT WB, PTR VENT 3, and HUXWRX FLOW 556. These silencers focus on suppressing the AR15, they feature back pressure reduction, advanced materials, and innovative designs.
What is the best AR-15 suppressor adapter, and how does it affect performance?
There are many popular QD mounting devices for the AR-15, such as: Dead Air Keymo, SilencerCo ASR, Q Plan B, and more.
Can a faux suppressor on a 5.56 rifle offer any real benefits, or is it purely cosmetic?
Faux silencers or blast diverters can help keep some of the blast away from the shooter, but will often make your rifle sound louder and can actually increase felt recoil. Get a real suppressor if you want the best muzzle device for your firearms.
How does the best 5.56 suppressor under $500 compare to more expensive models?
Suppressors around $500, like the Otter Creek Labs Polonium, offer: Good Sound Suppression: Effective noise reduction suitable for most shooters. Durability: Constructed with robust materials. Value: Cost-effective without significant compromise on performance.
What makes the Surefire suppressor 556 a popular choice among AR-15 enthusiasts?
The SureFire SOCOM556-RC2 suppressor is popular due to its: Sound Performance: Cuts down on decibels and protects your hearing. Durability: Built to withstand harsh conditions and high rates of fire. Minimal Point-of-Impact Shift: Maintains rifle accuracy. Quick-Attach System: Allows rapid attachment and detachment. Military Adoption: Proven performance in military applications enhances its reputation.
Can you shoot .223 out of a 5.56 suppressor, and what are the considerations?
Yes, you can shoot .223 Remington ammunition through a 5.56 suppressor.
How loud is an AR-15 with a suppressor, and what factors affect the sound reduction?
A suppressed AR-15 significantly reduces the hearing damage risk and sound of a gunshot. Factors affecting sound reduction include: Suppressor Design: Baffle configuration and internal volume. Ammunition: Subsonic vs. supersonic rounds (though subsonic 5.56 ammo is rare). Barrel Length: Shorter barrels may produce louder shots. Environmental Conditions: Surroundings can influence perceived noise.
What is the difference between an AR-15 silencer and an AR-15 suppressor?
There is no difference between an AR-15 silencer and an AR-15 suppressor; the terms are used interchangeably. Both refer to devices attached to the firearm's muzzle to reduce the sound of gunfire.
Can I use a .30 cal suppressor on a 5.56 rifle, and what are the pros and cons?
Yes! .30 Caliber silencers will work on the smaller 5.56 round. The pros are the versatility to run the suppressor ona variety of firearms and calibers, at the cost of some sound performance due to the larger bore.
How does the quietest 5.56 suppressor compare to other suppressors on the market?
The quietest 5.56 silencers are all designed speicially for the 556/.223 round, which allows them to excel in performance but they trade off multi caliber versatility.

They effectively lower muzzle noise and reduce recoil, enhancing shooting comfort and accuracy.
Can I use a 30 cal suppressor on both my 5.56 and 9mm firearms?
30 Caliber silencers can shoot 5.56 but will not work with 9mm. For a silencer that can handle all of these rounds, check out multi cal suppressors like the SilencerCo Omega 36M or Rugged Alaskan 360.
How does a Rugged 30 cal suppressor perform compared to other brands?
Rugged Suppressors, such as the Surge X 7.62, are praised for their modularity and durability. They allow users to adjust the suppressor's length, offering a balance between sound suppression and maneuverability.

What is the thread pitch for a 30 cal suppressor, and how does it affect compatibility?
The most common thread pitch for .30 cal rifles is 5/8x24. The thread pitch must match between the rifle barrel and the suppressor or its mount. Many silencers use interchangable mounts to allow for maximum versatility across multiple firearms.
Can you shoot 9mm through a 30 cal suppressor, and what should you be aware of?
No. 30 cal silencers will not work on 9mm firearms. 9mm is larger in diameter than 308/7.62 and cannot be fired from a 30 caliber suppressor.
What calibers can you use with a 30 cal suppressor, and are there any limitations?
A .30 cal suppressor can typically handle calibers up to .30 caliber, such as .308 Winchester, .300 Blackout, 7.62x39mm, 300 WinMag, and 6.5 Creedmoor. It can also be used with smaller calibers like 5.56 NATO. Some silencers will have barrel length restrictions, fire rate recommendations, or specific caliber ratings.
How does a .30 cal suppressor compare to a 5.56 suppressor in terms of performance?
A .30 cal suppressor offers greater versatility since it can handle multiple calibers, including 5.56. However, a dedicated 5.56 suppressor may provide slightly better sound suppression for that specific caliber due to a tighter bore and optimized baffle design. The trade-off is between versatility and maximum suppression efficiency for a single caliber.
Can you use a 30 cal suppressor on a 5.56 rifle, and what are the considerations?
Yes, you can use a .30 cal suppressor on a 5.56 rifle because the larger bore accommodates the smaller 5.56 bullet. Considerations include a slight compromise in sound suppression compared to a dedicated 5.56 suppressor and potential differences in weight and length.
