Shotgun Chokes
Most modern shotguns are threaded to use removable/replaceable choke tubes. Check your owners manual to verify that your shotgun uses swappable chokes.
There are 4 types of Shotgun Chokes.
Cylinder Choke: Provides a wider pattern through the shot range at the cost of total range.
Improved Choke: Narrows the pattern compared to a cylinder choke to improve range.
Modified Choke: The middle ground "do it all" shotgun choke provides adequate range and a good shot pattern for most hunting bird applications.
Full Choke: The tightest pattern and longest range option, usually the go-to option for turkey hunters.
Shotgun suppressors require corresponding chokes, you can find the appropriate SilencerCo Salvo Chokes and JK Armament CRMD Chokes at Silencer Shop.
Some shotgun suppressor chokes work the same way as traditional chokes and also allow a suppressor to be mounted. Other shotgun suppressor chokes do not influence the pattern and instead the suppressors use interchangable choke endcaps to help shape the shot pattern.
